If you were ever lucky enough to see Sam Maloof’s original property before the move you would have remembered the enormous Avocado Tree in the front yard. This tree was actually the reason Sam purchased that particular piece of land. When Sam was forced to move because of the 210 freeway extension, that tree wasn’t able to make the move because it was way too big!

Sam had that tree slabbed up and it has been in our sheds for the past 18 years. From the whole tree we were only able to make 3 pieces of furniture- one being this table.
